Help us support Jayne & Richard’s Yorkshire 100K

Our Jayne and Richard can’t resist a challenge, as on Saturday 18^th June they’ll be walking the Yorkshire 100K with the aim of completing it in under 24 hours. That’s over 60 miles through breath-taking countryside in North Yorkshire, all in aid of the charity, Guide Dogs. And breath taking it will be, we’re quite sure!

It’s the third year that the adventurous, brother and sister duo and co-owners here at Wentworth Pewter have taken part in the event. Amazingly, they’re still talking to each other – just. We’re delighted to be supporting the cause in several ways. We’re designing a dog key ring for Guide Dogs, so look out for our pewter pooches coming soon. Also for the month of June we’ll be gifting a pound from every sale of pewter gifts to the charity.

We’re pleased to report that it’s been a kicking start to Jayne’s training. She’s already completed 23 half marathons and 1 full marathon in aid of the Cavendish Centre. Her ultimate goal is to notch up a tidy 40 marathons in total. We think she deserves one of our finest pewter medals already. Richard has also been taking his training seriously or at least in spirit, while he drinks coffee and thinks about his winning strategy, which we believe consists of several nips of whisky served from his favourite pewter flask.
